Eonex Implants System is intended for fixation of fractures and reconstruction of bones. With its design, use of both compression and locking screws in same plates holes is possible. When to the equation are added simple and intuitive instruments, system offer unique experience to the surgeon.
Locking system consist out of only two components but is very effective and ensures fracture stability which is a result of plate-screw rigidity. It works on internal fixator principle and is
independent of bone quality, contact pressure and whether the plate is precisely formed to the bone or not thus preserving bone periosteum and minimizing the disruption of blood supply of the fracture site which is the case with use of non-locking plates.
Bone Screws
Eonex Implants System can be divided in two categories depending on the size of the locking hole used.
Small or “S” system uses locking holes with geometry optimized for use on plates whose thicknesses range from 0.8mm onward in combination with screws which diameters are up to 2.4mm.
Middle or “M” system uses locking holes with geometry optimized for use on plates whose thicknesses range from 1.75mm onward in combination with screws which diameters are up to 4.1mm.
Implants and Instruments Tray
The Eonex Sterilization Trays are used to organize and protect Eonex implants and instruments that are to be sterilized by a healthcare provider.
They are designed to provide and enable following features when loaded with the intended content:
- Storage and transportation
- Cleaning and decontamination after the pretreatment
- Sterilization after cleaning and drying
